Benbow Environmental has recently been involved in the preparation of detailed assessments for the development of a concrete batching plant in Rosehill. The proposed concrete batching plant has an expected annual production capacity of 150,000 cubic metres of cement per year. The detailed assessments include the following:
• Noise Impact Assessment for Construction and Operation;
• Air Quality Impact Assessment including greenhouse gases;
• Waste management; and
• Ground Contamination and Geotechnical work
The scope of the assessments was to ensure the compliance of the proposed operations with relevant legislation and guidelines, and to aid in the plans for the development. The models predicted that the future operations were well within levels of compliance, with minor recommendations required to prevent any potential issues with noise impacts, air, greenhouse gas, and waste emissions from the processing activities. There is much anticipation in the approval of this development.
